About Us

Our mission is to enrich people’s lives and celebrate unity in diversity.  We do this by providing select events that expose people to quality cultural-educational experiences and equality in ethnic-gender diversity.  These events are a series that occur weekly, monthly or annually and include hospitality, films, live jazz and community-building education.  We pride ourselves on celebrating diversity with balance, equal opportunity, service and joy for all people.

The Miami Jazz and Film Society, founded in 2009, works in partnership with The Olympia Theater and The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center to create a positive atmosphere and successful exchange of superb artists, community building, and commerce in Miami.

We provide a series of events hosted at Olympia Theater and The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center.  We produce the Downtown Film Series; The Downtown Jazz Series and annual events such as the International Dance Party, Family Day, Cultural Exchange/Appreciation Party, and Music Exchange Listening Party.

The Miami Jazz and Film Society also provides artists development and bookings. It has provided superb musical artists to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, La Gorce Country Club, Hollywood Band Shell, Miami Tower, The Van Dyke Café, and private events.  The Miami Jazz and Film Society is also developing recording projects, and an information booklet series.
